A Proposal at Domain Chandon Winery.

September 12, 2018

Meet Joel and Erica, this couple is just adorable! They are both from Texas and Joel wanted to pop the big question at a beautiful winery located in Yountville California. Domain Chandon was the perfect location for this special day.

We were able to capture the big moment just under the Domain Chandon's main entrance to the wine tasting room. The weather was perfect and the location was just amazing! The weather in September here in the area of Napa  California is still warm and cozy, we usually start to get rain at around the month of October, I think the rain was a bit of a concern when we initially spoke to Joel. Lucky for us and for Joel, the afternoon was just perfect for his proposal to Erica.

This newly engaged couple is young and full of energy,  we loved the fact that they were so funny and they expressed that their pictures. I think that it is very important to show your "natural self" in order to portray a true emotion in your pictures.

I must say that before I have to do photography for a proposal, I still get nervous, I mean, I think is a feel-good type of nervous, however as a photographer, I still have this emotions that I want to make sure I capture the "right moment" and I can't stop feeling this sense of nervousness as the moment approaches.  I've been doing proposals for a long time, but it really never gets old. When I am photographing the "moment" I feel calm and I get inspired and creative and it all becomes better after that.

One of our favorite parts of this proposal was when Joel was on his knee proposing to Erika, they were so lost in the moment that they were unable to see their surroundings, all they saw was each other. At the end of Erica's "Yes," they were both congratulated with a big applause from the crowd of people behind them! They had a crowd of people watching their proposal the entire time but did not notice them until after Erica had said yes. They were both surprised and we think Joel was just relieved that the hard part was over.

I want to thank this awesome couple for making us part of this big moment and we hope that you can enjoy your proposal photographies for years to come. We invite you to watch the short video which captures the moment.
