Napa Valley Proposal

We met Israel and Sam while shooting a proposal session at the Castello di Amorosa. Susan (Sam's mom) wanted to document this special moment of her only daughter's life and we could already see that they are a family surrounded with love. We captured the moment when Israel was on his knee proposing to Sam. It was such a sweet and emotional moment, Sam could not believe what was happening and she was even shaking nervously of happiness. After Sam said "YES", we congratulated them and we applaud them as they were now engaged. We got to spend time with them and we were so happy that we got to meet this wonderful couple. They have a great sense of humor and are just so much fun. Their energy and their personalities are just our kinds of people. We get to work with so many wonderful couples and are so very happy and lucky to get to meet these wonderful souls. We are obsessed with you two!

Take a look at their love story

How did you guys meet?

We met through a mutual friend.

How long have you guys been together?

2 years.

What was the thing that attracted you to him/her?

His luscious beard, haha. Honestly, though it was how incredibly open and genuine he is.

When did you know he was the one?

When he held my hand, looked me in the eyes and said he’d always be my side no matter what life threw at us.

What is the favorite thing about you guys as a couple?

Our humor that maybe some wouldn’t understand. We finish each other’s sentences and know what the other is thinking without even saying a word. All it takes is a look.

What made the proposal special for you?

That his daughters helped plan our special day. Every detail they had a say in.

Where you expecting to get engaged that day?

I had high hopes it would happen that day when he said “romantic day in Napa” and I have been wishing for this day for months. However, I was starting to doubt it when we were coming to the end of our day. He completely surprised me

What was your favorite part of the proposal?

Even though every part of the engagement was perfect. From the location to the food/wine and set-up. That started not to matter as we were just so lost in each other. Everything else faded into the background.

What makes you love him/her the most?

Our life’s have not been easy and had a hard beginning but I feel we are each other’s safe harbor. We continuously support each other to be better together

What advice do you have for people that can't find "true love"?

Love is something you don’t force and should happen effortlessly. Never settle and be true to yourself but never lose hope. Love happens in unexpected places or when you least expect it. Love ended up finding me when I wasn’t looking for it, it was worth the wait

Thank you for allowing Louis Romo Photography to capture your special moments!
